Driving through a sophisticated neighborhood one evening, I noticed "TRASH DAY" signs posted on wooden stakes everywhere. I really wasn't looking for what I might find, just cruising down the lane headed back home. Outside on the edge of a yard by the street sat these 2 yellow chairs all alone. I see folks all the time ride around in their pickups on "TRASH DAY" hauling off what other folks don't want anymore. There were a few street lights, enough light for me to see these chairs were in GREAT shape. Luckily, I was in a pickup. These chairs are very heavy, solid & the only thing I could tell was that they just needed a little TLC.
When I returned home, inside they went.
& the SCORE was ready to be assessed, cleaned, mended & refashioned.
I immediately took the seat cushion covers off to wash.
Next, I measured the topside of each cushion cover.
Then, with the same measurements, I cut out a favorite piece of material & iron on interfacing.
Ironed all the edges around the material.
Finally, pinned it on the topside of the cushion cover & machine stitched it all the way around.
